About 14 years ago Freddie started collecting classic bikes, and initially had a dusty old barn in Gouda where all the bikes were stored and worked on. Invariably beers were introduced into the whole process, then a fridge, and in no time people were drawn by the atmosphere “bikes, beer and laughter”.

On 19 March 2020 Bike Forge opened at the current location on De Heuvel Estate, and the rest is history.

Our staff is very cool and accommodating and well trained. This is our happy place where friendships are “Forged” and people leave with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Host your private function such as birthday parties, weddings and wakes. Exclusive use of the venue can be arranged.

Come to Bike Forge for a glamping experience in one of our 3 tents situated in virgin fynbos with indigenous bird life, tortoises and buck in abundance.
Enjoy your sundowner on the porch with a stunning view of the Witzenberg mountain range which is snow capped in winter.

We also have a small campsite where you can pitch your own tent, pull in your camper (we can provide electricity by arrangement) or crash on the grass.

B&B for more home comforts – We have 2 Queen bedrooms with own entrances and a shared bathroom with a shower.

For bigger groups we can erect up to an additional 40, 2 bed glamping tents in our tented camp by arrangement.
